MadeIT Free Shipping shows how much is missing to free shipping, for free. The Pro add-on lets you write the messages your way, match the colour to your brand and place the bar anywhere in your shop.

Installation and setup
- Install and activate WooCommerce and MadeIT Free Shipping.
- In WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping add a "Free shipping" method to the shipping zone with the requirement "A minimum order amount".
- Open MadeIT Free Shipping → Settings and choose where the bar is shown.
The plugin does not grant free shipping. The WooCommerce method does. The bar only shows the customer how much is missing.
The progress bar Free
In the cart and in the order summary at checkout a message "X left to free shipping" appears with a progress bar. Once the threshold is reached it turns into a message that the customer gets free shipping.
- It works in the classic and the block cart and in the classic and the block checkout. The bar refreshes live when the cart changes.
- The bar is hidden for an empty cart and for carts that need no shipping (for example only virtual products).
- Shop managers see a short explanation when the bar is hidden (for example no threshold). Customers see nothing.
Where the threshold comes from Free

The plugin respects the "Apply minimum order rule before coupon discount" option and the way your shop displays prices (with or without tax). A coupon that grants free shipping marks the threshold as reached.

The settings screen also lists the "Free shipping" methods found in your shipping zones with their thresholds, and a preview of the bar in the cart.
Look and texts PRO
- Accent colour of the bar and an option to hide the bar itself (only the message stays). The background follows your theme.
- Message before the threshold is reached and after it is reached. Placeholders:
{amount}(the missing amount) and{threshold}(the threshold). An empty field restores the default text.
The [madeit_free_shipping] shortcode PRO
Place <code>[madeit_free_shipping]</code> anywhere, for example in the shop header, the mini cart or the product page, to show the bar outside the cart. It uses the same settings as in the cart.
Pro license and updates PRO
- Download the add-on from your customer account and upload it in Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Activate it. It needs MadeIT Free Shipping and WooCommerce to be active.
- In MadeIT Free Shipping → License paste the 32-character key and click "Save and activate".
Troubleshooting
- The bar is not visible: the cart is empty, holds only virtual products or there is no threshold. Log in as a shop manager and the cart will show the reason.
- The bar shows a different amount than WooCommerce: check the "Apply minimum order rule before coupon discount" option and the tax display of prices.
- The bar does not refresh in the block cart: clear the page cache and check the browser console for errors.
- The Pro tabs do not appear: the free plugin must be active and the add-on activated.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need the free plugin as well?
Yes. MadeIT Free Shipping Pro is an add-on and needs the free MadeIT Free Shipping plugin from WordPress.org to be installed and active.
Is anything in the free plugin locked until I buy Pro?
No. The free plugin is complete: the bar in the cart and checkout, the threshold from your shipping zones, classic and block support, live refresh. Pro adds your own texts, an accent colour, a hideable bar and the shortcode.
Where does the free shipping amount come from?
From the "Free shipping" method of the shipping zone that matches the customer's address. If the zone has no threshold, the amount you enter in the settings is used. This is part of the free plugin, Pro does not change it.
Does the plugin grant free shipping itself?
No. Free shipping is granted by the "Free shipping" method in WooCommerce. The plugin only shows the customer how much is missing and calculates it the same way WooCommerce does.
What happens to the bar if I deactivate Pro?
The bar keeps working. Your own texts, colour and the shortcode fall back to the free plugin defaults until you reactivate Pro.
What happens when the license expires?
The installed version keeps working without limits. Only new versions and support are paused until you renew.
How many sites can I use one license on?
One license covers one site. You can detach the site in your customer account and activate the license somewhere else.
Does the add-on send customer data to MadeIT?
No. It sends only the license key and the site address to check the license and download updates.
